Champions League winning, Premier League winning, FA Cup winning, League Cup, Super Cup and Club World Cup winning manager Jurgen Klopp will step down as Liverpool manager, at the end of the season.
The former Dortmund boss, who replaced Brendan Rodgers as manager in 2015, has overseen one of the best periods in the club’s illustrious history. This is a developing story and one, which was broken by BBC Sport, so we will provide more info when we get it.
Here at the-sports-buff.com, we would like to pay tribute to the former Mainz manager, who came to Anfield as a good manager and will be leaving as a great one.
Trophies-wise, Klopp has won all that there is to be won at club level. When he achieved the impressive feat with Liverpool, only the legendary Sir Alex was the other coach to have achieved it before him.
As this story is still very new, it’s hard to say where he will go next. Jurgen this end-of-season resignation has nothing to do with the Ghana or Brazil jobs becoming available?
We expect the Liverpool manager to take a sabbatical as he weighs up his next job. If Germany manager Julien Nagelsmann leaves his role as Germany boss in 2024 he would be a good candidate as would Brighton’s Roberto De Zerbi.
But I am sure Manchester City would fight Liverpool for the talented Italian boss. I will say this once, but what about Jose?
