After years in the making, finally arguably the two biggest names in British Heavyweight boxing, Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, are finally due to fight one another, after Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, confirmed the Watford-born fighter has agreed to the deal.
Former two-time World Champion Joshua is scheduled to fight on 25th July, and sometime after that, the two men will meet. Personally, I argue that this fight should have happened a few years earlier, but with genuine commercial interest in arranging it, the parties to both fighters (Joshua and Fury) have agreed to a bout.
Tyson Fury (37) had retired from the sport only to backtrack on his word on several occasions, and Anthony Joshua (36) will know just like his rival, Fury, that if he loses this one, it will be difficult to continue at the highest level, if at all.
Riyadh and Tottenham’s Tottenham Hotspur stadium are just some of the venues suggested for this blockbuster fight.
