Seven-time World Champion Ronnie O’Sullivan won his eighth masters with a hard-fought 10-7 win over friend Ali Carter.
The Masters, which is one of the tournaments that has been part of the ‘Triple Crown’, has been in the headlines for the way the venue is upkept.
This was the observation of The Rocket Ronnie O’Sullivan.
Former World Champion and the man who would be his semi-final opponent at The Masters spoke about the issues Ronnie raised and advised him he should do this by going through the correct channels.
Other outbursts from The Rocket included him calling out his colleagues, the remaining players in the top 16. The seven-time champion called on them to up their game.
Those bits of minor controversies aside, The Masters was a well-contested tournament. There were two 147 breaks in the week.
Ding and Mark Allen were the two players to achieve the impressive feat. The final itself, although it turned into a convincing win for the World number one, was well contested.
Beaten finalist Ali Carter, was 5-3, 6-4 and 7-6 up in the final, but as he does more times than not, Ronnie O’Sullivan finds a way to win.
The man is supposed to be at the twilight of his career, but he’s getting even better it seems.
