I have a question. Have you managed to able to get your breath back after a hectic day of football? Well, we have .. just about.

We have plenty to talk about such as Luton Town winning their very first Premier League game and Manchester City losing their first Premier League game this season.

Liverpool fans, your team got a very good amount of column space in the previous article, you were robbed after all.

Manchester United fans, yes you too had a decision going against you in your game against Crystal Palace.

Sports fans, this is where we will start, at Old Trafford. What is going on at Manchester United? The Red Devils are 10th.

Here at The Sports Buff, we were massively in favour of the Dutchman Erik Ten Haag’s appointment, but just in the past month or so, it appears he hasn’t done himself any favours.

The former Ajax hasn’t presented himself greatly in the media of late. His comment about Brighton spending money, when their whole squad was the cost of Tyrell Malacia, was the tip of the iceberg.

Ten Haag might point out his injury list, but even still other sides have injury issues and they’re getting on with it.

Crystal Palace won the game 1-0. Wolves, who have been tipped by many to go down, again managed to pull off a very respectable result, beating champions Manchester City.

Gary O’Neil who was appointed manager very early in the season, is quietly going about his business. Wanderers who won this game 2-1, ended The Cityzens’ 100% record.

Guardiola’s Premier League champions are still top, even with Arsenal outclassing Bournemouth 4-0 and Spurs beat Liverpool 2-1 in very controversial circumstances.

Jurgen Klopp’s side were the only team that could have overtaken City this weekend, but his Liverpool team would be denied by very bad decisions in their game against Tottenham, which ended in last-gasp defeat.

What this does for the league table at the top is make for a competitive battle. Brighton in sixth, despite being walloped 6-1 by Aston Villa are now sixth in the table.

The Seagulls are still just three points off Manchester City. This Premier League season which is just seven games old, looks like it’s going to be very open.

One example of that is Luton going to Everton’s Goodison Park Stadium and going back to Kenilworth Road with all three points.

The Toffees’ home form last year became crucial for them, so this only emphasises how impressive this win was.
