West Ham United comfortably beat Manchester United 2-0 in the lunchtime kick-off to heap more pressure on Red Devils boss Erik Ten Haag.

The first half was goalless and there were murmurs that a repeat of last week’s bore draw with Liverpool was on the cards.

Goals from Jared Bowen and Mohammed Kudus meant that Man United have gone four games without scoring, for the first time since 1992.

Elsewhere there were wins for Tottenham vs Everton, Bournemouth vs Nottingham Forest, where Dom Solanki scored a hat-trick. Luton who saw their captain Tom Lockyer collapse, beat Newcastle 1-0, in what was an emotional game.

In what was a good week for the teams towards the bottom of the table, saw Burnley win their first away game of the season.

The Clarets beat a disappointing Fulham side 2-0 at Craven Cottage. These results only add pressure to Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest, who controversially parted ways with manager Steve Cooper.

To finish this week’s round-up, we go to Anfield where Liverpool were up against Arsenal. In years gone by, this would usually be an easy three points.

Credit to both teams, it wasn’t and the Premier League’s top two served up a delicious serving of festive football.

It finished 1-1 between The Gunners and The Reds, where both sides will be happy, but both sides will be thinking if only.

  1. Hi. I like your blog article about Man United. I saw this game. Unfortunately Man United is having a difficult time scoring and gaining points right now.
