The Sports Buff ⚽️ ⚾️ 🏈

For us guys here at the-sports-buff.com, the Qatar World Cup is something we don’t want to see leave. In short, the tournament has been fantastic! Goals in the last minute, and goals ruled out too it’s been superb to watch!

The politicians and the social media politicians have had their issues with the World Cup being held here, but even they must concede, it’s been a good tournament because it’s been well run and organised amongst other reasons.

This World Cup to me reminds me of when I go into the shower, especially in this chill. I get into the shower shivering, not wanting to have a shower, but I have to for the mercy of your noises.

Once I start having my shower, with the water hot, yours truly enters bliss in its purity. So at the start of the shower, I want to get it over and done with, but when you’re in the middle of it, you don’t want your shower to end!

The Qatar 2022 World Cup, is the same for me. Yes, I love this World Cup but like the shower analogy, I too wanted this World Cup to end as it was threatening to be overshadowed by political messages.

It’s the same when I go to the gym. I don’t want to go, I don’t want to go! I say to myself. What aggravates the situation is that windscreens on cars .. well they’re filled with ice.

So I am from not being in the mood and enthusiasm for going gym, gets further dampened as just the 20 minutes gets wasted on clearing my car’s windscreen.

For the times, that I have persisted with going gym these days, it’s been worth the wait. So from not wanting to go to the gym, I am fighting myself to leave the place!

Maybe, just maybe the English Premier League might be the same thing. I am not looking forward to it now, but then when it’s back, I don’t want any International tournament ruining this.
