Not everyone is a believer in God; I try to be, and I thank him for giving me pretty much (as it stands) 40 years of life. In that time, I have come across many different kinds of characters and American presidents; you will know why this is relevant in a minute.

Bill Clinton, George Bush, Barack Obama, Donald J. Trump (twice), and before Donald, it was Joe Biden, who was the running mate with Barack during his presidential campaign.

Mr Biden didn’t seem well enough to leave home, never mind take office and have the most powerful job in the world. Not all of them, but each of these presidents has done something mindblowingly stupid in the public eye.

One of the classics for me, though, was George Bush Jnr, trying to use binoculars, but failing to notice that the cap hadn’t been removed!

The need to mention this is that someone with such power and authority in the world can be given unprecedented freedom to do what he wants, but it’s the binoculars cover that’s the straw that breaks the camel’s back.

So, as you can see, there’s something with American presidents and intellect. The current president is no smart Alec either, after apparently interfering regarding a ban given to USA striker Folarin Balogun after his red card in a World Cup game.

A word in FIFA boss Gianni Infantino’s ear reportedly, and a ban for the Monaco striker turns into a suspended ban, much to the bemusement of world football. So no common sense neglect in this story of Mr Trump, but there is a blatant inability to read the room.

After that storm smoothed over, The Donald has come out and said it would be a mistake if Infantino is sacked or forced to resign! Why Donald, Why? Why can’t you let Mr Infantino be?

Your very input and two cents are harming the FIFA chief, who hasn’t been averse to scandal, since replacing Sepp Blatter, who lost his job due to corruption. How’s that for irony?

Salt Bae being allowed to touch the Jules Rimet Trophy in 2022 and the reported deal, which would see him directly profit if the World Cup was sold off. You will never get a quiet night with this lot, will you?
