Europa League winners Aston Villa, who will be in the Champions League this season after winning UEFA’s second major club tournament, continue their busy summer by entering serious talks to sign Bayern Munich man Joao Paulinha.
Paulinha, who spent last season on loan at Spurs, had a mixed season at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, hence why the North London side didn’t make the move permanent.
A move to Villa Park (if it goes through) could be a great move to restart a career that has just lost its way during his time at German champions Bayern Munich. This move, an initial loan deal, is seen as the club addressing the loss of Amadou Onana, who injured his knee in the World Cup.
