Goals from Casameiro, Anthony Martial, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford helped Manchester United beat Chelsea 4-1. The win for United helped them return to the Champions League, with Newcastle United joining them too.

After a few disappointing results and Liverpool’s mini resurgence, it was a case that just maybe Man United are going to make a mess of qualifying for this year’s Champions League, but United were just good for Chelsea on the night.

This disappointing result for The Blues sums up a disappointing season. In a season that has seen an outlay of £600 million on new signings, but they have struggled to score goals and yesterday evening’s performance was almost as if several of Chelsea’s players are already getting ready for the end of the season.

Both teams will need to have busy summers for varying reasons. Both new Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino and United manager Erik Ten Haag will need to be backed.

The win for The Red Devils, an emphatic one at that is just the preparation they need for next week’s Manchester Derby FA Cup final.
Another positive to come out of the game was Jadon Sancho’s performance, but on a sour note, Anthony looks like he will be injured for some time after being stretchered off.
