Premier League giants Manchester United are edging closer to completing the deal for Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba, for a fee believed to be in the region of £60/£70 million.
The Cameroonian, who was linked with The Red Devils 12 months ago, ended up staying on the South Coast, arguably due to The Seagulls setting an extortionate asking price for the former Lille man.
Quick along the ground, a great reading of the game – which includes the ability to find ‘the killer’ pass as well as a player who is tough tackling, Man U fans can maybe say they have found a reincarnation of a young Roy Keane.
That is some praise, and in the 24/25 season his stats back it up that he is a good player at this level. Granted, Baleba had a difficult season last term, but you could argue the speculation unsettled him.
Carlos Baleba’s personal terms, agreed maybe 12 months ago, and the club have now agreed a fee believed to be in the region of £65 million. The 22-year-old Baleba’s addition is expected to complete the midfield rebuild this summer.
Cameroon international Baleba is expected to make his debut in September.
