The dust has only just settled on Pakistan’s woeful campaign. World Cup winners in 2009, are a million miles off such an acheivement, that’s being polite. The Asian side have talent coming through. Messrs Raza ,Minhas and Subhan are anexample of that, but will they graduate to the seniors?

Not since Shaheen Afridi has a player graduated, from my knolwedge, and by that I mean, being in the squad for the long haul. To be given full trust and unwavering support.

Left-arm quick Shaheen gets that even though he isn’t operating at the level of 2201 Shaheen. One must remember, the big man has had some injuries, knee injuries which are a killer.

Ok, fair enough, but with the pool of talent Pakistan have, why do they persist with the same players? It’s the same in the spin department, it’s the same crop of bowlers used.

Sufyan Muqueem, clearly plays snooker and the PCB obviously have his old number. I don’t have any other reasons to exp;ain as to what is going on there. They (the Pakistan selectors) they need to start again, it’s clearly not working, sack the captain too (Salman Agha).

It’s hard to do this post mortem and not get a bit upset. This was one of Pakistan’s best chances of ending their wait for a second World T20 title, they ultimately failed.

What could have been Pakistan have been left with, but that’s the thung with being a Pakistan fan, we dry our tears and we start again.
