Two goals from the in-form Victor Gyokores and a brace from Ebrechi Eze saw Arsenal win the North London Derby convincingly 4-1. Hosts Tottenham came into this game with a new man in the dugout, former Juventus boss Igor Tudor.

Former centre-back Tudor has been appointed till the end of the season, with the objective of keeping The Lillywhites in the Premier League. It’s clear to see he’s going to have his work cut out.

In a game where there was not much to shout about, the merest of consolations is that striker Kolo Randal Muani got on the scoresheet. Why that’s necessary is that they will need their goal scorers to fire.

At the other end of the field, at the back, Tottenahm were shaky; the usually solid and dependable Micky Van de Ven was very shaky in his performance. Eze, who Tottenham tried to sign in the transfer window, just like in the reverse fixture, tormented Spurs all over again.

Former Crystal Palace attacker Eze, wasn’t the sole destroyer in this one. Victor Gyokores, formerly of Sporting Lisbon, also got two goals. The Swedish striker, who has come under some criticism for his lack of goals, in the past few weeks, has gone some way to repay the massive transfer fee that The Gunners paid for him.

The pressure was on Arsenal after Man City won yesterday, and the fact that they dropped points against Wolves in midweek, but to their credit, Mikel Arteta’s men bounced back from that setback admirably.

Over to you now, Manchester City.
