A Haji Wright treble helped Coventry City return to the top of the Championship, after The Sky Blues beat previous League leaders Middlesbrough 3-1 at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
After stuttering in the League since the start of the year, Frank Lampard’s men went about their business impressively, beating a Boro side that have been their nearest challengers for promotion for a good portion of the season.
This win sees Coventry go back top of the Championship, by virtue of a single point. This defeat for Kim Hellberg’s side is far from catastrophic, but must surely be a painful one, considering they reduced their hosts’ 10-point lead to zero.
Next up for both sides is a lunch-time kick-off on Saturday for the League Leaders, Coventry travel to West Brom, and for the Teesiders Middlesborough, they host strugglers Oxford United.
