Former Premier League winners Leicester City have had quite the decade.

Starting the decade from 2016, The Foxes made history and won their very first League title, under Claudio Ranieri.

A team including N’Golo Kante, Danny Drinkwater, Riyadh Mahrez, Jamie Vardy and more, helped the East Midlands side shock the world.

In the last decade,Brendan Rodgers inspired Leicester to an FA Cup win too, the first in the club’s history.

That was more at the start of the decade, coming into the middle of decade.

A relegation followed soon after, but an emphatic promotion was not far away from that.

Last term however was a disaster as yet against Leicester City are now playing in the second tier.

If that’s not bad enough for a club of Leicester’s size and history, the Premier League have punished The Foxes with a six-point deduction due to not complying with FFP rules.

Not even The Foxes being in the Championship, was able to prevent the deduction. Getting relegated, allowed some lee way in the rules, but Leicester had still reckless gone over that limit too.

It’s been a difficult season on the pitch and the loss of those six points? Well, that’s seen them get dragged into a relegation battle.

Blackburn and West Brom below then are also on 32 points. Oxford see only five points further behind in 19th, so clearly Leicester City are in deep trouble of getting double relegation.

It would be such a shame for a once big club, outside of the top six, to almost go into football wilderness.

Leicester fans in particular, will be hoping it doesn’t get to that.
