After being surprisingly well beaten by them earlier in the season, Manchester City came into their game against Tottenham looking to avenge that loss. The Cityzens included their new signing Marc Guehi in their side as they looked to win in North London, to keep up with the other side in North London.

An early goal from Rayan Cerki and yet another Antoine Semenyo goal seemed to put the visitors firmly in control. Spurs and Dom Solanke in particular had other ideas.

A brace by the former Bournemouth man meant that City had to settle for a point and are now a massive seven points behind. Mathematically, it’s not over, not in the slightest.

But do you see Arsenal losing seven points? In this period, The Gunners have had their annual bottling of games, but the chasing (Man City included) have not been good enough to take advantage.

The exact problem appears to be difficult to say as to why City haven’t been good enough to pounce upon their title rivals, Arsenal, losing ground. Man City have had a complete squad overhaul.

So the legendary Spaniard has been backed in the market like he always has. Maybe the man whom I call The Tinkerman 2.0 (Pep Guardiola) has over-tinkered and harmed the balance and style of the way the squad plays?

Gigi Donnarumma is my case and point by the way in this argument. PSG got rid of the Euro 2020-winning stopper for his lack of ‘technical ability on the ball’.

So when Man City came calling, a team that revived the obsession with ball-playing goalkeepers, Paris Saint-Germain would be forgiven that someone was on the wind-up.

Titles aren’t won in February, but in my humble opinion, they can be lost in February, and that appears to have happened this evening in North London.
