British heavyweight veteran Derek Chisora is due to face former World Champion Deontay Wilder in London on 4th April. This fight was due to take place 13 years ago, but it didn’t happen due to Wilder getting arrested for domestic violence, which prevented him from entering the UK.

Credit to Chisora, he never has ducked away from a challenge and a fight against The Bronze Bomber is arguably as big as they come. Wilder, before the infamous trilogy with Tyson Fury, had his first 40 fights.

Wilder drew the first fight but was defeated in the next two. There’s no shame in losing to The Gyspsy King, as Chisora too, faced Fury three times, losing out on all three occasions.

This fight has a different reason of importance for both men. For former World Champion Wilder, he will be hoping for a statement win to get his confidence back and as for Chisora, the Londoner had said he didn’t want to fight past 50 fights; this fight on 4th April will be his 50th.

The 42-year-old Chisora will want to go out with a bang.
