Europa League winners Tottenham have registered an interest in Liverpool full-back Andy Robertson, who is no longer the first-choice left-back at Anfield, and will be able to provide Tottenham with the much-needed leadership qualities in their squad.

Under-fire Spurs Thomas Frank, who is reportedly on the verge of the sack, might have just pulled the hat out of the bag with the signing of the Scotland captain. That’s, of course, if they can get the signing over the line.

Tottenham, who don’t necessarily need the former Hull man, could do with a life in the dressing room, and Liverpool legend Robertson deserves to be at a club where he is playing week in, week out.
