India defeated Pakistan by six wickets courtesy of a sparkling 74 by Abishek Sharma. The Sunrisers batters, who has made the position of opener, in recent times his own, again impressed against the old enemy with a swash-buckling 39-ball 74.

Sharma hit six fours and five sixes in his bludgeoning knock. Harris Rauf (2-26 off four overs) was the only bowler who could come away with some credit; otherwise, Shaheen, Abrar, and Faheem were all given brutal treatment, as they all returned with costly bowling figures.

To be fair to the bowlers, they didn’t have too much to go at. A score of 174 wasn’t terrible, but deep down, I am sure even Pakistan skipper Salma Agha must have felt it was at least 20 under-par.

Next up for Pakistan is a match against a formidable Sri Lanka side, scheduled for Tuesday.
