Pakistan duo Babar Azam and Mohammed Rizwan are the big names that have been dropped from the 2025 Asia Cup squad. The team led by skipper Salman Ali Agha, will see Mohammed Harris behind the stumps, and Suifyan Muqeem is the spin option.

Khushdil Shah can also contribute if needed, alongside opener Saim Ayub, who proved a threat in the PSL. Hussain Talat is another who can contribute with the ball also, but the main work will be expected from Pakistan’s premier bowlers.

Shaheen Shah Afridi is in the side, despite seeing less game time recently. Salman Mirza, a fellow left-armer, makes the cut. The usual suspect, Harris Rauf, is also included.

Hassan Ali is in the squad, continuing his resurgence in a green shirt, alongside Faheem Ashraf, who performed well with the bat against Bangladesh.

Mohammed Wasim is back in the side after a period out of the side.
One bit of massive news in the bowling department, Naseem Shah doesn’t make the cut, which could be a big loss. The Asia Cup starts September 9th.
