Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain came from two goals down to beat Tottenham Hotspur on penalties to win the UEFA Super Cup. Goals from Mitch van de Ven and new skipper Christian Romero got Tottenham off to the perfect start in Thomas Frank’s first competitive game in charge.

PSG pulled one back through Lee Kang-In and a late leveller from Goncalo Ramos to bring the match all square. Penalties followed, where Luis Enqiue’s men won 4-3 to give them victory in the first big game of the European season.

Congratulations to Tottenham, who fought bravely against the quadruple winners, but it wasn’t to be as PSG won their fifth trophy of a quite remarkable 2025.

This game also saw Lucas Chavalier make his debut as PSG’s goalkeeper. Chavalier, a £30 million signing from Lille is expected to be the number one for the Champions League winners.
