One of the most iconic and infamous WWE superstars has passed away after suffering cardiac arrest in his home.

Hogan was well-known for his unique blond moustache and theatrics in the ring, helping WWE become the biggest company in sports entertainment.

The Georgia-born professional wrestler claimed his first WWE championship in 1984 before main eventing the first Wrestlemania in 1985.

At no surprise, Hogan was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005, becoming a huge figure in the 1980’s and 1990’s.

WWE would not be where it is today without the larger-than-life characters that compete in the ring … and few, if any, loomed larger than Terry “Hulk Hogan” Bollea.

Many current and former WWE wrestlers have paid tribute to the legend of the company.

Wrestling icon, The Undertaker posted on X: “The wrestling world has lost a true legend. His contributions to our business are immeasurable and for that I am appreciative. Thank you, Hulk Hogan.”

While a rival on-screen, but a dear friend backstage, Ric Flair, wrote on X: “I am absolutely shocked to hear about the passing of my close friend @HulkHogan! Hulk has been by my side since we started in the wrestling business.

“An incredible athlete, talent, friend, and father!”

The official account of the WWE had also posted on all social media platforms about the loss of Hogan:  “WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away. One of pop culture’s most recognizable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s. WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends, and fans.”

There is no doubt that the WWE will pay a tribute to one of their most prestigious wrestlers on their next show, Smackdown.

The event will be hosted at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland where a ‘ten-bell salute’ will be held for Hogan.
