After completing the signing of Joan Garcia from rivals Espanyol, it’s believed that this will signal the end of former number one Marc-Andre Ter-Stegen’s career. If rumours are to be believed then, Wojciech Szczesny will deputise for Garcia and the German Ter-Stegen will be third choice at best.

Inaki Pena reportedly has already been told he can leave the club. If true, this some turn of events at Camp Nou. It’s understandable to a point Barca’s view point here.

Garcia, in a struggling Espanyol stood tall last term. The 24-year-old boasted the best shot saving percentage in La Liga, but to get one over arch-rivals Real Madrid, makes it all the more of a reason to start him or keep the man happy.

But that still doesn’t justify the treatment of stalwart Ter-Stegen, a treble winner in 2015 with Luis Enrique’s Barca, a man who was one of the shining lights in the Catalan sides time of darkness.
