After passing up on the option to sign former Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, Chelsea have entered talks to sign highly-rated English winger Jamie Gittens from Dortmund.

Gittens, 20, is said to be open to the move to Stamford Bridge after enjoying a fine individual season at Sigunda Park. The BVB winger was on the books of Man City, just like Jadon Sancho was.

The Blues are said to be willing to pay up to £30 million for their man, but Gittens’ club, Borussia Dortmund, are holding out for £40 million. Chelsea are reportedly in no rush to push through the deal, which could force the German side’s hand, who would be more willing to do business as he doesn’t see to have a future under new boss Nico Kovac.
