According to football expert Fabrizio Romano, Marcus Rashford is closing in on a loan move to Aston Villa. Rashford, 27, has been with The Red Devils since he was a child and has played for their first team for nine seasons.
Getting his breakthrough under Louis Van Gaal, the academy graduate scored on his debut. A bright, blossoming career beckoned. Sadly for the club and player, this didn’t happen.
Under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, there was one exceptional season in terms of goal-scoring, but sadly for the club and player, it’s been a case of what could have been. Barcelona, Marcus Rashford’s preferred choice, couldn’t finalise a deal for the England front-man.
Borussia Dortmund, which was also interested, cooled off their interest, as did AC Milan when they signed Kyle Walker. This move to Villa Park will give the former England international with the chance to play Champions League football.
