World Champion Max Verstappen edged closer to his fourth World title after winning the Sao Paulo Grand Prix. Starting the race back in 17th, the Red Bull driver had an inspired race and charged up the track.
It’s hard to believe that this is the same Verstappen who had not raced for 11 races. Lando Norris had admirably been on Max’s coattails at that time, but with the Red Bull driver winning the first seven races out of the first 10, Norris was realistically never going to be able to close the gap.
This weekend, Norris only finished sixth. The championship battle isn’t over just yet, but with just 86 points left to play and the three-time defending champion holding a 62-point lead over Norris, one can’t help but think it’s all but over.
