It seems like it’s been a long time in the making, but Chelsea have sold Connor Gallagher to Atletico Madrid after they have completed the signing of former loanee Joao Felix.

The former Benfica star who cost Atletico above £100 million when they signed him, had never lived up to the heights of his transfer. The transfer fee is undisclosed, but Felix has been signed by The Blues on a six-year deal.

Initially, Sam Omardion had been the forward of choice for Chelsea to sign, but the deal broke down, which saw both clubs back at the negotiating table.
