West Ham continued their busy summer by signing Jean-Claire Todibo from Nice. The 24-year-old Todibo seemed very close to joining Italian giants Juventus until The Hammers high-jacked the deal.
The structure of the deal will see the Frenchman join the London Stadium on a season-long loan, but after that, there is an obligation to buy Todibo for £34.22 million.
Premier League rivals Manchester United also wanted to sign the Nice defender, but League rules due to Jim Radcliffe’s ownership of both United and OS Nice, scuppered the deal.
In other news, West Ham have agreed on a fee to sign Man United full-back Aaron Wan Bissaka.
