Football fans, we’re at that time of year again where we’re thanking the one who made time, that he made the time to go quick for us not to feel the void of European club football.
There was the Euro 2024 tournament, which was designed to fill up some of the spare time, football fans would have had to deal with, but let’s face it, it was a poor tournament.
After that the pre-season football starts, which is just more of a business and marketing exercise for clubs. Manchester United vs Liverpool promises to be a good game, but in Seattle and at their times?
Who in the UK in the right mind will watch a game that late? Yes, besides the streamers and Youtubers etc, no one really. Scottish football returned and based on the first week, nothing new in the sense that Rangers stuttered and Celtic looked imperious.
Just one week to go for the Premier League to return. This coming Saturday is a Manchester Derby Charity Shield where FA Cup winners United face Premier League winners City. Let’s just hope the wait has been worth it.
