Borussia Dortmund have parted ways with boss Edin Trzic, just weeks after losing the CChampions League final. Trzic had been with the club on the coaching staff and was once an assistant to former West Ham boss Slaven Bilic.

Trzic had also won the DFB Pokal with BVB and also had a spell with the club as their director of football. There had been speculation of something of a bit of a stand-off with Matts Hummels.

Certain media outlets were saying that the German defender ultimately gave the club an ultimatum, if Edin Trzic hasn’t left the club he will. Whatever your opinion, Trzic’s Dortmund put up a spirited fight on the night and on another night would have won the Champions League.

At this stage, it’s not clear who would be taking over. One manager would have been good for the role, Roberto De Zerbi.
