Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, who lost out to Manchester City in the race for the League title last year, demonstrated that they will be looking to push defending champions City and fellow title rivals Liverpool all the way this season after beating rivals Chelsea 5-0.

Before kick off last night, Pep’s Manchester City were top of the table, leading both Arsenal and Liverpool by two points. Ben White and former Blue Kai Havertz grabbed two goals each, to go with the goal from captain Martin Odegaard.

After performing so admirably in the FA Cup semi-final defeat to Manchester City over the weekend, on the night Pochettino’s men didn’t perform, they were blown away.

Arsenal, after this emphatic win have opened a three-point lead at the top of the table over Liverpool, who play their game in hand against Everton this evening.

Defending champions Manchester City are four-points back, but have played two games less.
