Former Manchester United, West Ham and Nottingham Forest winger Jesse Lingard has signed for South Korean side FC Seoul on a two-year deal. The 31-year-old Lingard’s last club was Forest, but signs for the South Korean giants on a free transfer.
After leaving the East Midlands side, much has been made as to where Jesse Lingard would sign next. Reportedly, J-Lingz offered himself to Barcelona, which as we know led to nothing.
English sides such as West Ham and Everton were reportedly interested, but with FFP in place, even though this was a free transfer, was always going to make this deal difficult.
Despite all the tongue-in-cheek references to his age, at 31, Jesse Lingaard is closer to the end of his career than the start. With the reported high salary on offer, maybe this is one last big payday before retirement?
