Deep breath, Tottenham have agreed a deal with Bayern Munich for the sale of their defender Eric Dier for an initial loan until the end of the season.

The deal sees the former Sporting defender reunite with teammate Harry Kane. With the greatest respect to the Tottenham defender, this is a very good deal for him, all be it till the end of the season.

For Bayern, them going for Dier, it’s a bit puzzling. Not that Eric Dier isn’t competent, he is, but he’s not Kim, Umpecano or De Ligt-level competent.
Dier can also play as a holding midfielder (a number six), but is Thomas Tuchel saying he is level with Joshua Kimmich or can compete with?

This signing suggests. The Bavarians were close to signing the talented Fulham anchor man Joao Paulinha but ran out of time to complete the deal.

In other news, Tottenham have signed Radu Dragusin for £25 million from Genoa.
