Hello, good afternoon sports fans I hope you’re well, looking after yourselves and are in good health.
Sports fans, let’s have a quick chat, it’s about sports and this time of year. I know what you’re thinking, this is the season for Die Hard and Home Alone movies.
True and the news they’re making a new Home Alone movie only adds to that fact. But sports fans, there is still some football to be enjoyed.
In England, we here have Premier League football and games from the lower leagues to feast our eyes on.
On boxing day, in the evening, fans of the Championship were treated to a match-up between the top two sides, Ipswich and Leicester.
The Tractor Boys have ploughed through the opposition and Leicester have outfoxed their opponents. PS, I am sitting here with a smug face after thinking of two very witty puns, mua haha.
North of the border, on Saturday 30th January there is the small matter of the Old Firm Derby as Celtic host Rangers.
Later on that day, in the evening Juventus and Roma face off. The schedule makers must have had a brainstorming session when it came to 30th December fixtures, because they’re mouth-watering propositions.
Not the biggest fan of football? We got you covered there too. Big Bash Australian League T20 cricket, will help you get your fix of sport over this festive period.
If there are other ways to get through this festive period do let me know in the comments. January is going to be busy for sports.
The African Cup of Nations, The Masters Snooker and the Australian Open tennis will all be in January. I nearly forgot to mention the third round of the FA Cup is in January too.
For those of you who read my articles, I am very grateful you do. Sports fans, a little watch of Die Hard is ok, you’re forgiven.
The late Alan Rickman was superb at his craft, and that was being Hans Gruber.
Do look after yourselves and stay safe. The team here at the-sports-buff.com wish you all the best from now and always.
