Former Rangers and Queens Park Rangers boss Michael Beale is back in management after being appointed Sunderland Head Coach.
Beale who has also worked with Steven Gerrard as an Assistant at Glasgow Rangers and as well as coach at Aston Villa, joins The Black Cats on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
The 43-year-old, who arguably has limited managerial experience replaces Tony Mowbray after the former Sunderland boss had guided them to a six-place finish last year.
Currently seventh, Michael Beale has inherited a squad that’s going well in the Championship and a squad that should be there, thereabouts for when it comes to promotion.
