Ever since five-time IPL winners brought back Hardik Pandiya, speculation had been rift that he’s to return, to take the captaincy for MI, replacing Rohit Sharma.

Yesterday on Friday, this was confirmed to be the case by the higher-ups at the Indians.

Hardik, who of course will be in his second playing spell with the franchise, returns from a two-year playing with Gujerat Titans.
The Indian all-rounder enjoyed relative success with the franchise that’s just coming on three years in existence.

Hardik Pandiya’s arrival sees Cameron Green, being sold. Australian Green, although he was good in glimpses for the five-time champions, struggled to consistently perform for the Indians.

On a personal level, although the 30-year-old has impressed as a captain, like many other more esteemed cricket voices, I felt Rohit could have had one more season, and then moved over.
