Ronnie O’Sullivan broke another record as he became the youngest and oldest ever win of the UK Open Championship, beating former winner Ding 10-7.

Ding Jhunghui, who of course is a former multiple- winner of this event. The Rocket Ronnie O’Sullivan had been in the headlines, saying that he has fallen out of love with the sport.

Ominously for the rest of the chasing pack, if that;’s him like that, how’s he going to be when he’s at full pelt?

This latest UK Open Championship is Ronnie’s eighth in his superb career. No one has won more and in the process this win at York’s Barbican centre was his 22nd Triple Crown Event title.

The next Triple Crown Event is The Masters, where one would be foolish to write off Ronnie O’Sullivan.
