Germany manager Julian Nagelsmann, who will be in charge till Euro 2024, has won one of his first four games in charge, losing two and drawing the other.

It might be harsh to say that it’s panic stations all system go, but it’s not far off football fans. Germany have risen once before when it felt like they were in a fully fledged crisis.
