Chelsea football club since they have been taken in the early 2000s, they haven’t done anything quietly.

From hiring one of the best managers in the world in the early 2000s (Jose Mourinho), to his firing, West London side Chelsea, just don’t do things ‘quietly’.

The Special One isn’t the only manager to experience the ruthless hiring and firing system that is used at Stamford Bridge.

Andre Villas-Boas, Carlo Ancelotti, and Luis Felippe-Scolari are just some of the names to have been hired and fired at Chelsea.

With the examples of managers I have given, you can see examples of a mixed bag of managers.

Bar Jose, the most successful manager in Chelsea’s history this century was Roberto Di Matteo, who won the Champions League with The Blues.

Former manager Thomas Tuchel who won Chelsea’s second Champions League trophy by beating Man City, can challenge that claim.

One fact that will always be about all these managers there is that they have all been sacked. A change of approach saw Chelsea hiring Graham Potter, a highly-rated English up-and-coming manager.

After a mini-revival, several revivals in fact, Potter was duly shown the door, which led Chelsea to where they are now.

The thing is though. I am now adamant that Chelsea are going through one of those revivals.

Yes, at the start of October, they lost to Brentford, but positive results against Arsenal, Tottenham and champions Manchester City in such a short space of time show they’re starting to turn a corner.

Maybe I am get ahead of myself, but one thing is for sure Chelsea shouldn’t be taken lightly no more!
