South Africa are World Champions again. After narrowly beating England in the semi-final, a narrow 12-11 win would be enough to see off The All Blacks.

Sam Cane, the New Zealand captain was given his marching orders for a high tackle. Steve Foster’s All Blacks appeared down and out with the score 9-3. To New Zealand’s credit, they rallied.
Yes, they rode their luck at times, but Ritchie Mo’unga, kicked a penalty and Beauden Barrett, took advantage of a loose ball to cut South Africa’s lead to 12-11.
There were chances for both sides to add to their points tally, but 12-11 it would remain and South Africa would retain the World title they won against England in Japan four years ago.
