Former Tottenham, Crystal Palace, Newcastle and Everton midfielder Andros Townsend has agreed a deal to join Luton Town till January.

The Hatters who are 17th in the Premier League, have managed to sign the 32-year-od as a free agent after he left fellow Premier League side Everton.

When fully fit, Andros Townsend worked well in tandem with Demari Gray, when former Everton manager Rafael Benitez signed them both.

Sadly for the England international, a very serious knee injury has stalled what has been a respectable career for Townsend.

The 32-year-old revealed that he was close to signing for Championship winners Burnley, but The Clarets had a change of heart, much to the public disappointment of Townsend.
