Former Hoffenheim, RB Leipzig and Bayern manager Julian Nagelsmann has been appointed as Germany’s manager until 31st July 2024.
The German FA had been targeting the 36-year-old after he was surprisingly sacked by Bayern. One of the delays in confirming this news was that Nagelsmann was on gardening leave.
No, he wasn’t making an appearance at the Chelsea flower show, especially since he snubbed Chelsea FC, even more so it’s not the case.
Julian Nagelsmann replaces former Bayern Munich manager Hansi Flick as manager of Die Mannschaft. It’s a bit of a common theme as the 36-year-old replaced Flick at Bayern.
The former Hoffenheim coach, who is seen as one of the best up-and-coming coaches in Germany is tasked with taking charge of a side that has won just eight of their last 20 International matches.
Jurgen Klopp was reportedly offered the job and here at the-sports-buff.com we fancied Thomas Tuchel for the role, but ultimately Germany’s FA opted for the young and still very experienced Julian Nagelsmann.
Julian Naglesmann’s first game as Germany boss will be against the USA on 14th October in Hartford, Connecticut.
