Isco Alcaron, Arthur Melo and even from the archives, United cult hero Diego Forlan. Football fans, sometimes we’re too quick to knock down a player.

Yours truly, although I didn’t knock him, I was fearful that his career might be dwindling. I am of course referring to Isco Alcaron.

The former Malaga man, who then moved to Real Madrid and enjoyed a largely successful career at the Bernabeu, left in sad circumstances.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti deemed the now Real Betis man surplus to requirements. A move to Sevilla followed for the Spaniard, but this also led to a very bitter spat with the director of football Monchi.

After leaving the Europa League winners, Isco teamed up with his old manager Manuel Pellegrini, but this time at Real Betis.

Many in Spain would have been sceptical and maybe even pessimistic that the 31-year-old could be a success at Estadio Benito Villamarín.

One goal from five games, although could be better is encouraging. I feel with Pelegrini as his manager, he has the right environment to succeed.
This is a factor which seems to be helping Juventus midfielder Arthur, who is on loan at Fiorentina.

After a loan spell with Liverpool, which was underwhelming, out of nowhere the Gremio is excelling in Florence.

Not my words, but he’s been branded as ‘untouchable’ at La Viola, a far cry from his time at Anfield where he was treated as more than touchable.

He too has opened his account for the season. In the case of Diego Forlan, who did have some memorable moments that put him in Manchester United folklore, the Uruguayan never really got his United career off the ground.

With a change of environment, the man wrote his name in Atletico folklore. So, with all that in mind, for those who are writing off Julian Draxler, think so carefully.
