Everton have signed former Manchester City winger Jack Harrison on a season-long loan. Harrison, who was part of the Leeds side that got relegated last season, is The Toffee’s fourth summer signing.

The 26-year-old Harrison who was subject to some late interest from Aston Villa, joins Arnaut Danjuma, Ashley Young and Youssef Chermiti as Everton’s new signings.

Villa, who have had an impressive recruitment drive this summer did want to sign the Leeds man, but when they realised he will potentially be out for longer than one month, they cooled their interest.

There have been rumours that Everton are not done in the transfer window just yet. Udinese forward Beto, 25 is a name that the Premier League side have been linked with.

After missing out on Almeria striker Bilal El-Toure, The Toffees desperately need reinforcements, especially after badly lacking a cutting edge in the opening day 1-0 defeat to Fulham.
