Two-time defending world champion Max Verstappen will face a five-place grid penalty as a result of using too many gearbox parts.

The penalty, won’t apply in Saturday’s Sprint, but will for Sunday’s race. At this point and how dominant this season has been for the Dutchman, this seems the only way to beat him, if he beats himself.

Verstappen has won nine of the eleven races this season, so maybe he’s trying to find more challenging ways to win.

How well Red Bull have performed this season, even with this five-place grid penalty, you can’t count against them not winning.

Sunday’s race will be at Spa-Francorchamps, Francorchamps, Belgium.
