Napoli’s title-winning team has already been dismantled with the news that their title-winning manager Luciano Spelleti is to take a year-long sabbatical.
The 61-year-old who helped The Little Donkey to just their third title in their history, was heavily rumoured to be in the running for the vacant managerial role at Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.
As has now become blatantly obvious, this isn’t now the case and the former Zenit St Petersburg and Roma boss will be having a year off. It has been widely suggested that Napoli president Aurelio Di Laurentiis favours former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique to take over at the Diego Maradona Stadium.
With this news emerging about Napoli’s manager, will put the futures of star striker Victor Osimehn and Kim Min-Jae into further doubt, with Manchester United linked with signing both players.
