Juventus have been docked 10 points regarding their transfer dealings. The Old Lady were initially docked 15 points, only for the punishment to be rescinded after the highest sporting court in Italy reversed the decision.

As a result of the punishment first time round, Juve dropped out of the European places and AC Milan, who have won the Champions League seven times, were in the fourth and final Champions League spot.

When Juventus were given their reprieve, they jumped back up to second, well behind runaway champions and leaders Napoli. Off the pitch, Andrea Agnelli (former chairman) and Fabio Partici (sporting director), who were board members on the Juventus board have both seen their bans upheld.

Pavel Nedved, who went by the title of vice-chairman, was initially given an eight-month suspension, but after this ruling, he’s been cleared.

Juventus has been a club, who has been involved in a scandal over the years, their latest controversy, means that before their game against Empoli, they were second, but a chastening 4-1 defeat meant Juve are seventh, a point behind Jose Mourinho’s Roma.

The 36-time SerieA winners Juventus, when faced with tragedy or calamity, always find a way to come back and rise from the ashes. How their fans would want that.
