Three-time Champions League winners Inter Milan edged out neighbours AC Milan 1-0 to set up a final clash with Real Madrid or Manchester City.
The Neazurri who had a two-goal lead from the first leg were never in danger of losing this one. In fact, the home side (technically) would score a late winner on the night through Laturo Martinez which meant Inter Milan would win 1-0 on the night.
Romelu Lukaku provided the assist. This combination brought back memories of last season. In what has been a tricky season for Inter, to have the chance to finish it off with a potential fourth Champions League title will be special.
Inter Milan were last in the final in 2010, where they would go on to win the treble that year.
Simone Inzaghi’s side will go into the final as underdogs, but with nothing to lose. Manchester and Real won’t take Inter for granted, that’s for sure.
The second semi-final between Manchester City and Real Madrid is tomorrow at Man City’s Etihad Stadium.
