Something of a circus

After sacking manager Jesse Marsch, hiring a caretaker manager and replacing him with Javi Gracia, Leeds United look set to sack the Spaniard manager and replace him with former England manager Sam Allardyce.

So with this managerial wheel of misfortune that’s being spun, will mean that the West Yorkshire side will be hiring their fourth manager of the season in the 68-year-old Sam Allardyce.

Big Sam, is seen as something of a relegation survival specialist. In his last job, however, he wasn’t able to prevent West Brom from the drop and even with this job at Elland Road, even he has his work cut out.

Leicester (18th) and Everton (19th) are directly below The Lillywhites, but in the past month or so Leeds have been in free fall. If Leeds United do stay up, this panicked decision due to its timing, will turn out to be a masterstroke.

Director of football Victor Orta who was been in the role during the successful Marcelo Bielsa and for the past three seasons will also be leaving the club. It’s fair to say this is a very precarious position both on and off the pitch for Leeds.

Big Sam has a tough run of fixtures to close out the season with games against Manchester City, Newcastle and out-of-form Tottenham. A trip to fellow bottom half side West Ham awaits on the second to last game of the season.

If results go against them. Leeds’ trip to West Ham could have a lot riding on it. Best of luck Sam, you will need it!
