Bayern come out on top

Thomas Tuchel got his reign as Bayern Munich boss to a fantastic start with a 4-2 win over nearest challengers Borussia Dortmund. Former Chelsea manager Tuchel who replaced Julian Nagelsmann was able to inspire his new side to a big win over his old side.

Classed by many as an elite manager, and with good reason, the former Mainz, Borussia Dortmund, PSG and Chelsea manager showed a preview of it, in a very emphatic win for The Bavarians.

Dortmund, who came into this clash of the big two, actually leading the Bundesliga title race, lead to hopes of a competitive title race. This defeat although a bruising one, doesn’t leave BVB out of the title race.

But psychologically Borussia Dortmund would have wanted to avoid defeat at the home of the champions. Since the resumption of league football, Bayern have faltered, but this win, just reminds the rest of the league who the top dogs are.

To make matters not much better Edin Terzic’s Dortmund side now face RB Leipzig who are managed by former boss Marco Rose. Congrats to Thomas Tuchel and his side on a big win, an important win.
For the neutral, like myself, we’re hoping for an open and competitive title race.
