Congrats on a great career Seb!

The words legend, hero and sporting icon are some of the most overused words when describing a sportsman or sportswoman. I am sure you guessed what’s coming next, but F1 legend, Sebastian Vettel was a sporting icon in the F1 world.

Racing for Red Bull, the German won four world championships and was the youngest world champion too. Vettel had the world at his feet and the chance to emulate German legend Michael Schumacher, by winning the world championship for Ferrari.

Sadly for Sebastien, this didn’t happen as younger Monacan driver Charles Le Clerc was making the bigger impact for the Italian giants. The calmness and the temperament which was the epitome of the former Aston Martin driver had also evaporated.

Uncharacteristic accidents and collisions just showed Vettel was a shadow of his former self. Still having said this, Sebastien Vettel, was the second most successful man in F1 on the circuit.

Being second to seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton is no shameful achievement. Most boys and girls have fast car posters on their walls, this German actually drove one!

It was a shame, the end of Seb’s career tailed off somewhat, but the man was a legend in his own right. Who knows what the future holds, but one thing is for sure, environmental protestors have a member in the former Ferrari driver.
